Go Kayaking in Cape Town

A trip to the Mother City is incomplete without its amazing water sports activities and an opportunity to marvel at marine life. Kaskazi Kayaks & Adventures is neatly tucked away in the northern-most part of Cape Town in Mouille Point. A perfect point of departure, the amazing backdrop of Three Anchor Bay and Lion’s Head can be observed from a few meters into the ocean.

Kayaking is for everyone as it requires no particular level of skill, experience or fitness. True to being a family adventure, children are allowed to kayak, and so are dogs! Species of African penguins, dolphins, seals and even whales are often spotted on a kayak tour. Southern Right whales frequent the northern waters to calve. Marine wildlife has become accustomed to kayaking visitors, so much so that they often swim at arm’s length from kayaks.

Guides lead the paddle out into the ocean after a safety briefing. All equipment is provided on the day. This activity is heavily weather-dependent so the guides stay ahead of the game by providing its clients with weather updates and rescheduling if needed. Sessions run from 5:30 a.m until before sunset.
